1830  FEDERAL  CENSUS

MAIN  INDEX  PAGE

Source:  Microfilm

When I decided to do the 1830 Federal Census for Clay county (I must have been out of my head!), I asked Harry for help (he will agree,  I "am" nuts! ha!) .  Then, my grand daughter tried her best to transcribed the hard-to-read names.  When I sent email for help, Joyce Fitch responded and transcribed the names.  Hannah continued to read the numbers (head counts).  Then Joyce (Nash) volunteered to proof read all our work.

My grand daughter (I thought was 11 but is only 10) wants to be a teacher.  When she was trying to transcribe the handwriting of the surnames, she said, "If any of my students write this sloppy, I will give them an F and THAT IS IT!".  Ha!

Many thanks to Harry, Hannah, Jocye and Joyce!

Smiles!
