Nora B. GILLEY, daughter of Jacob and Nancy Jane KRUTSINGER, was born in Clay County April 7, 1871 and departed this life Jan 23, 1941, age 69 years, 9 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to George W. GILLEY Oct 10, 1888. To this union seven children were born, three boys and four girls. Four children preceded her in death; Carl Earnest and Nora died in childhood; Earl, a World War veteran died in 1918 at age of 26. She leaves besides her husband and companion, three daughters, Edna THOMPSON of Olney, Edith VINCENT of Farina, and Jane EAST of Salem; two brothers, Earnest KRUTSINGER of Oskaloosa and Pearl KRUTSINGER of Louisville; two sisters, Ella SHELTON of Ypsilanti, Mich, and Maude BOUSMAN of Farina; five grand children, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. She professed faith in Christ 36 years ago and united with the Iola Baptist church. She was a true and faithful companion, a kind and loving wife and mother. No sacrifice was too great for her that she might make it pleasant and comfortable fore her loved one and friends.
