John
Oliver Tibbs, son of James N. and Grace J. Tibbs was born near Johnsonville,
IL, Sept 19, 1869 and died at the age of 70 years, seven months and 23 days.
He grew to manhood in the community of his birth. He was united in marriage
with Cynthia Weaver in April, 1892. To this union were born three daughters,
two having preceded him in death. In later years was united in marriage with
Eva Edens of Clay City. This union was blessed with two daughters and two
sons, Cecil of Vincennes, IN, Celia of Albion, IL, Pearl Edith of Detroit
and Glen of Flora. One daughter, Lucille, preceded him in death. He is
survived by one brother, Charles of Rinard. He confessed his faith in Christ
in early manhood and lived faithfully until death. He was always a loving
husband and father.
