Rosetta Shirley Blair was borned
March 28, 1877 in Clay County, Illinois. In the early morning of Feb. 2,
1930, her spirit returned to God, who gave it. She being 57 yrs., 10 months
and 4 days. On February 28, 1895 she united in marriage to Geo. Emmett
Blair. To this union 10 children were born, 3 dying in infancy. Very early
in life she united with the Hord Christian Church, having lived a true
christian life to the end. She often talked of a better world than this. She
leaves to mourn her going a devoted husband, seven children, Tures, Jessie
Blair of Clay Co., Mrs. Nellie Wiegel of Champaign Co., Mrs. Elsie Watt and
Mrs. John Cornwell of Clay Co., Otto and Aden at home, 10 grand children and
a host of relatives and friends. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we
loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.
Card of Thanks We wish to thank all our neighbors and friends for their
kindness and help during the sickness and death of our beloved wife and
mother. Also for the beautiful flowers. Emmett Blair, Elsie Watt and family,
Tures Blair and wife, Jessie Blair and family, Nellie Wiegel and family,
Lula Cornwell and family, Otto and Aden Blair. (Elsie wrote 1935 over the
death date of 1930...there was an error in the paper)
