Mae S. DAVIS, 84, Olney, died at
12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec 30 at the Flora Care Center, Flora.
She was
born in Wayne County July 2, 1894 to Richard and Lynn MCCLURE.
She
married Bert VAUGHN in Wayne County in 1911. He preceded her in death. In
1929 she married Allen E. DAVIS in Flora. He died Sept 11, 1961.
She
was a member of the Oak Street Southern Baptist Church, Flora.
Surviving are a son Raymond VAUGHN, Odessa, Tex; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth
(Fern) DELANEY, Olney; a step son, George W. DAVIS, Farmington, N.M.;
sisters, Lucy OWENS, Flora, and Irene PARKER, Santa Barbara, Cal; six
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great- great-grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Cardascio Funeral Home,
Flora, with visitation from 7-9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Elmwood
Cemetery, Flora.
