Funeral services for Duncan
Jay DOW 71, who died early Saturday morning at his home in Golden
neighborhood, were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from Golden church. Rev.
Angus Phillips officiated, and interment followed in Golden cemetery. The
body was removed yesterday morning from the Branson Funeral Home in Flora to
the family home, where it lay in state until the hour of final services. Mr.
Dow is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Dow: two sons, Roscoe of
Louisville, and Everett of Flora; one daughter, Mrs Esther LANDRETH of
Flora; three brothers, Robert of Flora, Murray of Xenia and William of
Marissa, and one sister, Mrs. E.C. JACOBS of Flora.
