Harold ERWIN, 61, died about 5 P.M. Tuesday, April 9 while driving his pickup truck near the Homer MAXWELL Jr. home.
Mr. ERWIN was taking his grandson, Randy ABNER, who had been visiting him, to his home in Flora where families of his son and daughter were planning a birthday supper. Near the MAXWELL home, Mr. ERWIN apparently suffered a heart attack as the truck left the road crossed the MAXWELL garden, stopping against the porch steps. He was rushed to the Clay County Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
He was married to Emily PHILLIPS ERWIN who passed away March 1966.
Surviving are a son, Donald K. and a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Carolyn) ABNER both of Flora.; a sister, Lillian SUNDERMAN of Argenta and five grandchildren.
Arthur Warren PHILLIPS will officiate at the final services which will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday at Dillmans Funeral Chapel where friends may call after 2:00 P. M. Thursday.
Burial will be in the Hoosier Cemetery.
