Maude Myrtle GOODMAN
Maude Myrtle Goodman, daughter of Ewing and Martha GOLDEN JENNINGS, was born in Clay County, Ill., on Sept. 15, 1886, and departed this life Mar. 27, 1973, at the age of 86 years.
On Sept. 15, 1904, she was united in marriage with Marion E. GOODMAN. To this union 14 children were born.
When she was a young woman, she was baptized and attended Coles Chapel Church. In later years, health permitting, she attended the Louisville Christian Church and Red Brush Christian Church, remaining faithful to her Saviour.
Her husband, Marion, preceded her in death on May 1, 1947; also four daughters, one son, two brothers and a half sister.
She leaves to mourn her passing, six sons, Edward of Xenia, Frank and Delbert of Flora, Donald and Robert of Louisville, and Floyd of Shoals, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy BIBLE, Mrs. Grace PIERSON and Mrs. Martha THACKREY, all of Louisville; one step daughter, Mrs. Ersa GUINN of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Gip JENNINGS, of Flora; one sister, Jane MULLANEY of Lemon Grove, Calif.; four half sisters, Mrs. Edith TOLLIVER of Portage, Ind., Mrs. Ruth BATEMAN of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Ethel CHILDERS of Alhambra, Ill., and Mrs. Stella FILLENWORTH of Mansfield, Ill.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Irene KUHLIG of Louisville, and Mrs. Vida SLOAN of Mansfield, Ill.; 48 grandchildren; 87 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; several other relatives; and a host of friends and neighbors.
