Leslie Arthur Long, 77 of Lakeland died Friday at his home. A native of Clay
County, Ill., he moved to this area 17 years ago from Kankakee, Ill.
He was a heavy equipment operator in highway construction and a member of
the Crestview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cletis of
Lakeland; four daughters, Audrey E. Praire of Muskegon, Mich., Shirley
Hollen of Phoenix, Phillis Woodrich of Lakeland and Vicki Martin of
Lakeland; three sons, Lowell of Woodbridge, Va., Louis of Raleigh, N.C., and
Roger of Lakeland; a brother, Dale of Kankakee; a sister, Waunetta Newman of
Salem, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Lakeland Funeral
Home, Lakeland.
