Sam Raymond OLIVER, 66, of 37 Benson Drive died 2:15 pm Monday (June 11, 1979) in University Billings Hospital, Chicago.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 am Friday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Thursday in J J Moran & Sons Funeral Home, with 7:30 pm prayer service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Our Lady of Lourdes Building Fund.
Mr. OLIVER was born in Louisville, son of Clyde and Gaynell OLIVER. He was a retired steamfitter and former owner of Valley's Tavern, and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 65. He married Stella SAPYTA in 1939.
Surviving are his wife; son, Raymond S of Ballwin, Mo.; daughters, Mrs. William (Gaynell) ROMANAS of Decatur; Mrs. Charles (Pamella) FABISH of Peoria; Mrs. Richard (Janet) MARTIN of Indianapolis; Ind.; brothers, Charles, Robert and Morris, all of Louisville; Scott of Centralia; William of Xenia; sisters, Mrs. Leroy (Helen) KINCAID of Louisville; Mrs. Eugene (Margorie) MCCALISTER of Flora; eight grandchildren.
One brother, Elmer, preceded him in death.
