Illinois.
ROTAN, William Edward -- died 9 Feb 1906 in Stanberry,
Missouri, aged 77. He was born in White County, Tennessee, 14 July 1828.
Moved to Illinois when he was 10. At age 17, he went to the Mexican War.
Moved to Platte City, Missouri in 1858 and returned to Illinois in 1864.
Came back to Missouri in 1874 and settled in Gentry County. He was twice
married and has one daughter, Mrs. MILLIGAN by his first wife. His second
wife was Miss OLIVER, who survives him. They were married in 1865. Eight
children were born to the second marriage and 3 sons and 3 daughters
survive. Buried in Cooper Cemetery.
