Amanda E. SMITH Sullivan -Mrs. Amanda E. SMITH, 89,
Sullivan resident for the past eight years, died at 7 a.m. Saturday (Oct.
8,1960) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl MAYCROFT.
Friends may
call at the McMullin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday. The body will be
taken Sunday to the Easley and Padgett Funeral Home at Clay City. Funeral
services and burial will be on Monday afternoon at Clay City. Burial will be
in the Clay City Cemetery.
Mrs. SMITH was born April 14, 1871 in
Wayne County, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth PETTYJOHN.
She leaves,
besides her daughter Mrs. MAYCROFT, another daughter Mrs. Albert BROWN,
Chrisman; a son John D.,Ripley, W. VA.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist Church of Clay City.
